Re: Hello to all

Hello May!
Nice to meet you (wink).  So, how do you do Culinary arts indoors and out? Just kidding- I know what you meant. Horses are so cool! : )Being new and all, I have a few questions about Oklahoma-
Why do people here say 'fourwheelers'? In Arizona and New Mexico and Nevada and Washington and California and Mexico, we call them 'Quads'. (Although dirtbikers often refer to them as 'couches')
What is the purpose of Daylight Savings Time? I don't even understand it. Why? Arizona doesn't do DST.
Why do people call bison 'buffalo'?
Oh, and May- get better! Your immune system is terrible! Herbs are good- I have a friend in AZ who also has a weak immune system, and taking natural,  um, stuff, helped her a lot. Drink hot tea!
Talk to you later

Re: Hello to all- Response to Katie

Hi Leanna! Nice to meet you- and if you don't mind me asking, what brings you here?
I guess it's not just Oklahomans who say 'four-wheeler'; thanks for clearing that up! Most of my friends who rode were slightly immature guys- they said things like 'tight', 'sick', and 'hard core' ALL the time, and they told me to only say quads, not ATV.

Why did I not know about the Rez that did DST?! Oh well, small school, small town, it happens. A girl in one of my history classes back home thought that 'New England' was a country. Based on your comments, I'm assuming that you either are Navajo or you wrote a very well-researched essay about Navajos. Where did you live in AZ?

Re: Hello to all

Hi! im highlander! you seem to be a very interestign person! i liked how you put your letters in color, it stood out from everyone else. my mom took a culinary arts class recently. she loved it. in fact, because of my grandad (he was a famous chef) all of his children have soemthing to do with cooking in some way just about. i think it is nice when one person takes an interest in something, an then the children take an interest in it also!
