So, we're painting a crosswalk from Memorial Hospital across Gore Boulevard so that the daily exodus of nurses who prefer Subway to the hospital cafeteria are less likely to get run over. Good idea.
Doing it in the middle of the day. Bad idea. Have you ever noticed that many cities do streetwork at night so as to avoid the sort of congestion we're seeing in the Cameron area, which is arguably to worst traffic area in Lawton? A little 1 a.m. work might be healthier for city crews than having cars whiz by at rush hour. BTW, is there another college campus on earth that does not have a sidewalk between its dormitories and the main campus?
We noticed here that the editorial board at the Lawton Constitution (whoever that is. Unlike other newspapers, the Consitution lists only its publishers, not its editorial board.) came out against a proposed taxpayer bailout of Wall Street. I'm sure that's hot news on Capitol Hill.

Re: Gore Blvd., Wall Street and other bottlenecks
I did not know they were just painting a cross walk. It looked like a major emergency because there must have been at least 20 men there. They must have been tripping all over each other. Two gang members with spray cans in the middle of the night could have done it faster. Maybe we should hire them next time.

It might be difficult hiring a couple gang members with spray paint cans. Do you know how difficult it would be for them to sign their name on the Application Form? Those spray cans require at least two feet of space to tag their names! I'm certain a typical hiring form would be your normal 8x11" sheet of paper. Not quite enough space for their signatures.
