I noticed headlines on the supermarket tabloids (the REAL Number One news source in Southwest Oklahoma) this week exclaim "O.J. Marked for Death Within One Week of Entering Prison" and "O.J. Simpson: I'll Hang Myself in Prison."
Now that's what I call headline writing.
Did you happen to catch the Late Breaking News the other night, wherein the disgraced bloated athlete was convicted on all 12 counts of a robbery-gun-yelling-threatening fiasco in Las Vegas? It was 13 years to the day on which he was found not guilty of the double homicide of his ex and her friend. Is that some serious irony or what? I guess what happens in LA sometimes makes its way to Vegas.
It inspired me to write an ad for MasterCard, but don't expect to see it on TV anytime soon.
"Cost of legal fees to avoid the death penalty for double homicide: $10 million.
Cost of payoffs and relocation to Florida to avoid paying judgment to plaintiffs in civil trial: $8 million.
Look on defendant's face when found guilty and facing life in prison for stealing his own worthless
stuff: PRICELESS! "
