The weather mercifully held off for another nice installment of Arts for All. Considering all the rain we've had recently, it certainly could have been worse. No full-blown storms interfered this weekend. But while I was about sampling the wines, it occured to me that, while we all love the dance troupes and barbershop choruses, isn't this festival big enough to pay for at least one name band? While the focus of the festival isn't on the music, it would be nice to have an act sure to draw music lovers from Wichita Falls, Ardmore and points beyond. And no, I'm not talking about country acts of the sort we often see at the Polo Field. I like country music as much as the next guy, but if we're having an arts festival, should we have an artsy band? Someone like Neko Case or a group like Los Lonely Boys?

Cheers to you - Horaay! I so agree it would really draw a crowd. One of the artist at the festival this years said that another festival in Oklahoma did just that and it was great! Lots of people came out and it was a happy crowd.

Perhaps an outdoor movie? Theatrical skits starring local celebs and tv personalities?

All sounds good, except the "movie" part. If I want to watch a movie, I'll go to the theater or rent one.

Great idea! I wouldn't mind seeing a good jazz group spice up the scene for Arts for All.

Hello, out there! I'm Bonnie Barker. You are all probably acquainted with my nephew, Sheridan, otherwise known as the "smartest prairie dog in town".
Being somewhat envious of Sheridan's success, I decided that I should host a blog of my own. I am interested in all the news that's fit to print and some that isn't. If you don't have anything nice to say, please come down to the prairie dog mounds and let's dish!
