Kudos to the staff of Luigi's for their new Greek-Italian eatery on Cache Road. El Greco was a fine Greek restaurant, but never had a decent location. Luigi's To Go , however, is in the midst of restaurant row and has been jam packed in the two weeks since it's been opened. Seeing the lamb cuts on large skewers is a nice touch.

Re: By the way, it's pronounced "euro"
I agree. I love the location and the convenience of the new restaurant. However, the food could use a bit of fine tuning. The sauce was a bit runny on the gyro and watered down. It was not nearly as flavorful as the one El Greco makes. The strombolis are VERY cheesey and delicious but they really skimp you on the marinara! As for variety in the gyros I only recall seeing lamb - no beef, no chicken. I could be wrong about the choices but that's just all I remember seeing. El Greco has not only lamb but chicken and beef. Lastly, the price is a bit up there. When I hear the word "express" I normally imagine quick and cheap. There was a short wait and it wasn't cheap, my friend. Meals averaged around seven dollars or more and you get more for your buck at El Greco (gyro and three sides) as opposed to Luigi's Express (gyro and fries).

Hello, out there! I'm Bonnie Barker. You are all probably acquainted with my nephew, Sheridan, otherwise known as the "smartest prairie dog in town".
Being somewhat envious of Sheridan's success, I decided that I should host a blog of my own. I am interested in all the news that's fit to print and some that isn't. If you don't have anything nice to say, please come down to the prairie dog mounds and let's dish!
