It seems like I've been seeing a lot of Fidelity Cable's  5 for $85 deal (phone service, long distance, calling features, Internet, and ... um ... oh yeah, extended basic cable). In their defense, I must say the Fidelity folks are showing a lot more polish than the old Lawton Cablevision ownership, who, in all honesty, just couldn't be bothered. Check out the Fidelity Web site and you will see a far more professional product. And the emphasis in branching out into other services will show Fidelity to be at a level the old local owners didn't seem capable of. But before I make the plunge, I'm curious how their phone service and Internet matches up to AT&T service and AT&T DSL service. Anyone got a review?

Re: Anyone with a review of Fidelity's phone/internet service?

Well I have not heard great things as of yet. Mostly negative although I have not any details. Except a few comments on spotty reception but that may be the new digital issue.

Re: Anyone with a review of Fidelity's phone/internet service?

My mother tried switching to them last month just before she went on vacation. When she got back from vacation her number had been change. When talking to Fidelity's customer support she was told her number could not be moved over because of ATT. However, when talking to ATT she was assured that she could keep her number no matter who her service was with and the straited out the issue.

Then another problem came up - she could not recieve calls from a family member in prison because Fidelity was not connected with the system that allows that. That was not all but that was the last straw. Needless to say she is now back with ATT.

We love it. Our oldest son plays WOW and he says there is a shorter lag time on the game with Fidelity, so the internet is great. Extended cable gets me Lifetime and the husband a hunting channel so that's great too. The phone is good, just don't go over your alloted long distance time or I'm sure it'll be big charges, I don't remember the rate off hand. But great for local calls. Has saved me a lot of money because I was using a Go Phone from AT&T. That includes caller ID & voicemail. Switching over was very good choice for us. BEST OF ALL.......NO CONTRACT! Cancel whenever you want.....WITHOUT THE CRAZY CANCELATION FEES!!!!!

I've never used their phone service, since landlines are so 20th Century. But my wife and I have used their Internet Silver package for about 1.5 years now and have no complaints. It's reasonably-priced and reasonably fast.

I have used it for online gaming and streaming audio and video with no problems.

Hello, out there!  I'm Bonnie Barker.  You are all probably acquainted with my nephew, Sheridan, otherwise known as the "smartest prairie dog in town".

Being somewhat envious of Sheridan's success, I decided that I should host a blog of my own.  I am interested in all the news that's fit to print and some that isn't. If you don't have anything nice to say, please come down to the prairie dog mounds and let's dish!
