AJ's Hair Center is simply the first incarnation of AJ's Hair Pizzazz evolution as its transform from its roots of being focused solely on hair care to include the whole body, i.e. taking care of the entire person, as well as the innate human bahavior to spoil and pamper oneself. AJ's Hair Pizzazz was founded in 1984 by Leslie G.  Brooks with the intention of becoming Lawton/ Ft. Sills premier purveyor of superior hair care for an ethnic clientele. It did not take long for the talent of Ms. Brooks, along with a arsenal of stylist which include two of her sisters (Deborah and Rhonda) and two of her cousins (Diane and Darshelle), to generate a buzz and attract the likes of Lawton/ Ft. Sills most affluent and well-respected African-American residents. Today, standing at the precipice of this termendous trancformation, AJ's Hair Pizzazz carries the same excitement, skilled staff, and enviable clientele, which in turn has paved the way for an expansion that some would consider long overdue.
