CAVS TO HOST SEAT SELECTION NIGHT
LAWTON, Okla. – The 2008 Continental Basketball Association champions Lawton - Fort Sill
Cavalry is hosting its preseason Seat Selection Night 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday to provide an
opportunity for fans to select advance seating for games and to purchase season ticket
packages for the 2008-2009 season. The event will be held at the Great Plains Coliseum.
Cavs co-owner and General Manager Hossein Moini said that while tickets can be
purchased anytime prior to or after the event, Seat Selection Night will give fans the chance to
actually sit in their seats and check out the view before buying their tickets.
“We've developed quite a few different ticket packages for the fans to choose from,” Moini
said. “Everything from two-game and four-game packages to weekend-only and full-season
packages will be available that night."
Moini said team management has been working with area employers to develop ticket
packages that fit the schedules of their employees.
"We've worked hard to make available the right ticket packages so that anyone who wants
to secure the best seat available can do that and keep it for the season," he said.
Cavs co-owner Phil Kennedy said the team is also sponsoring the chance for one fan to win
a new car or a set of Goodyear tires. The names of those who purchase tickets on or before
that night or who attend the event will be entered into a random drawing, according to Kennedy.
One fan's name will drawn who will then attempt to make a half-court shot for the car. Should
the ball not make it through the basket the fan will still take home the tires.
"We hope we can give that car away," Kennedy said. "But either way, somebody's going to
walk away a winner." Kennedy added that the person whose name is drawn must be present to
attempt the shot.
Event organizers also confirmed the appearance of team mascot Crash along with
performances by the Cavs Dancers. Free hotdogs and soft drinks will be on hand, with doorprize
giveaways throughout the event. Seat Selection Night is open to adults and children.
"The Cavs offer exciting live sports entertainment for the whole family," said co-owner and
Managing Partner Mike Brown. "And it's cheaper than going to the movies."
